Panda Security Trash Talks Anonymous and LulzSec in Security Report !

Panda Security, makers of security products named after itself, just released its quarterly report on the state of security around the world, which is news in and of itself considering that, as Panda puts it, "The title of Guns N' Roses 'Welcome to the Jungle' perfectly sums up the events that have taken place" over the past few months. But that wasn't the least of Panda's colorful rhetoric, as the security firm had some strong words for Anonymous and LulzSec, the two hacking organizations responsible for many of the recent high-profile attacks.
Panda called recent efforts of Anonymous and LulzSec "sheer vandalism," noting that "it seems the only way the Anonymous group has to protest is by committing illegal acts. However, if the members of the group were smart enough, they would realize that their constant breaking of the law undermines the legitimacy of their protests."
The security firm also took issue with Anonymous claiming their activities are peaceful protests since their actions are intended to cause economic loss and are completely illegal.
"They say they represent everyone's 'best interest' but are not brave enough to appear publicly, hiding instead behind pseudonyms," Panda vented. "Well, if you hadn't already had enough of Anonymous, a new hacker collective called LulzSec has emerged, whose claimed main motivation is simply 'to have fun by causing mayhem.' In my opinion, if you took the most irresponsible and brainless members of Anonymous and put them all together, they would be considered the most refined gentlemen compared to LulzSec."
Oh snap! Panda's report is already a little dated in that LulzSec recently disbanded as authorities began to close in on their operations. But it's still amusing to see Panda lash out at a couple of hacking organizations that have dominated headlines in recent months with idiotic antics.
There's plenty more to the report than just trash talking Anonymous and LulzSec. Panda calls out Apple for initially trying to "bury their head in the sand" when an attack on the Mac platform took place, and provides a good dose of hard numbers and stats on what's taken place in the last quarter.
