Bill Gates Sells 5 Million of his Microsoft Shares ! ~ Amit Khajuria ~

Microsoft’s Bill Gates has again lessened his shares in the company he co-founded after selling 5 million Microsoft shares recently.
The news comes via a regulatory filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by the billionaire which revealed that he has sold 5 million Microsoft shares on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Agence France-Presse, the prices Gates sold the shares at range from “$27.20 to $27.98”.
Taking that range of prices, the AFP says that 5 million shares would have fetched “nearly 138 million dollars.”
Currently, Gates has relinquished the top spot in the world’s wealthiest individuals list to Mexican mogul Carlos Slims.
The Microsoft co-founder has also stepped away from being responsible for the day-to-day operations of Microsoft since 2008.
He is now concentrating on his charitable works and philanthropy mainly through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has pledged to give away most of his fortune.
According to the AFP, Gates now has 551 million shares in Microsoft after his 5-million-share sale. It was also reported here in February that Gates sold 90 million Microsoft shares over the past year.
